Land development
Developing land
A build lives in a landscape or just in a empty space. By using the spaces around buildings you can make it look more alive and also cut frame rates, what you call lag in Second life.
Making a garden or walkways separates buildings making a nice environment for the build showing it of in the best way. It also makes it possible to make areas with low object count so more objects can be used in the build and interiors. There are some great works in landscaping in Second life and I always try to visit many of them.
